Unit 20: Goal 7 - I will express...

After the Interpreting Art unit, students should be better able to consider how they will provide clues to their viewers to aid them in interpreting their artworks. In the planning stage, engage them in individual or small group discussions on how they can improve their compositions in this way.

The lessons in this goal are the same as those in Goal 6. You do not need to make additional copies of these lessons if you find it easier to reuse the Goal 6 slides.

On the second day of planning, students tend to want to create just two more thumbnails and then move on. I typically tell them they need to spend a whole class period on this and draw as many thumbnail sketches as they can.
